What type of stays do you offer at POHA House Büchel?

At POHA House Büchel, we offer two types of stays:

Snug Stay – It is equipped with a cosy double bed (140×200) for you or you +1, a desk to study or create, a clothing rack and plenty of storage for all your things, a kitchenette with a sink, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, and utensils, and a modern bathroom with towels and a hairdryer. Perfect for 1-2 people.

Classic Stay – It is equipped with a cosy double bed (140×200) suitable for you or you plus one, a desk for studying and a comfy chair for reading, a closet, and ample storage space for all your belongings. Additionally, there’s a kitchenette featuring a stove top, fridge, microwave oven, French Press, kettle, and utensils, along with a modern bathroom stocked with towels and a hairdryer. Perfect for 1-2 people.

What type of stays do you offer at POHA House Theaterplatz?

At POHA House Theaterplatz, we offer one type of stay:

Big Stay – It is a stay with two bedrooms with two roomy queen-sized beds (180×200), desks for studying or creating, a comfortable living and dining area, plenty of storage space throughout the flat, a spacious kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, washing machine, oven, coffee machine, kettle, and utensils, along with a modern bathroom and an extra WC stocked with towels and a hairdryer. Additionally, there’s a TV with Chromecast, allowing you to stream your favorite shows, making it an ideal accommodation for your stay. Perfect for up to 4 people.

What events do you organise?

We organise regular events within our community spaces and outside POHA House. Imagine a good mix of wellness or workout events, after-work drinks, creative master classes and your spontaneous outdoor BBQ session. If you have an idea for an event, please approach us, and we’ll be happy to co-host it with you.

Can I use the community spaces and join events in other POHA House buildings?

Absolutely! One of the perks of being a POHA House resident is the opportunity to use the community spaces and join the events in each POHA House, no matter where it is located.

What if I have a disability or a special requirement?

All our locations are wheelchair accessible. Whatever your needs may be, we are here to help. Please contact us at hey@pohahouse.com with the details of your requirements and we will look into it.

What is the POHA app?

In your POHA App you can easily track all your payments, open a support ticket via ‘Ask Gaia’ or check all the discounts you get from the brands we are partnering with. Additionally, you have the option to engage with your fellow residents by posting in various forums and seeking advice or information.

Are you LGBTIQ+ inclusive?

Hell yes. We want everyone to thrive at POHA House. The community we are creating should enable everyone to live the truest version of themselves. We are committed to inclusivity; feel free to hold us accountable to that. If you ever notice any non-inclusive behaviour, language or actions in our POHA Houses never hesitate to let us know.

Can I extend my stay?

Yes, we offer stays up to 6 months. If you want to stay longer than that, check our POHA House options on our Space Portal.

How can I book a stay?

Booking is pretty easy! Go to our Stay Page, select the period of time you want to stay with us, and proceed to fill in your details. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the necessary information for your upcoming stay.

What is included in my stay?

+

POHA House is not like any other hotel. To make sure you feel at home, you will have access to all common areas in our POHA House, get to know our lively community and participate in all innovative events in any of the other POHA House location across the city.

Can I cook in my room?

Of course! Our ‘Classic Stay’ apartments at POHA House Büchel have a small kitchenette with a cooking hob, microwave over, and all the essential tools to cook a simple meal. If that is not enough for you, you can use the communal kitchen in the building. If you book a ‘Big Stay’ at POHA House Aachen Theaterplatz, you get a big kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, washing machine, oven, coffee machine, kettle and utensils.

Is POHA Stay child friendly?

Definitely. We even offer baby beds to make it more convenient for you. Just let us know and we will have everything prepared for you.

Is there a TV?

The apartments at POHA House Büchel are not equipped with a TV, but we have a small TV room in the building where you can stream your favorite movies or TV shows. Our ‘Big Stays’ at POHA House Aachen Theaterplatz have a TV with Chromecast.

How big is my bed?

Our ‘Snug’ and ‘Classic’ Stays at POHA House Büchel have a cosy double bed (140×200), whereas if you book a Big Stay at POHA House Theaterplatz you get a roomy queen-sized bed (180×200).

Do you offer any brand partnerships?

Absolutely! We collaborate with local and global shops and businesses, constantly on the look for exciting partnerships. Exclusive discounts for our residents are available through the POHA app under the ‘Brands we love’ section. If your company is interested in partnering with us, please reach out to us at hey@pohahouse.com.

Do you issue a ‘Wohnungsgeberbestätigung’?

Yes we do, only for stays longer than 3 months. The document is always attached to the contract.

Can I have my bike onsite?

+

Bikes are strictly prohibited inside the living units for safety and space reasons. However, there are convenient bike storage solutions around each POHA House.

POHA House Theaterplatz and Büchel: You can securely park your bike at the Galeria-Kaufhof/City – APAG Parking garage for a small fee. Additionaly, in Büchel you can park your bike in our small bike parking.

POHA House Preuswald: You can easily park your bike at the parking in front of the building. Additionally, for those without bikes, we offer POHA branded E-bikes.

POHA House Münster: You can park your bike at the Radstation next to the POHA House for a small monthly fee.

What can I do outside POHA House?

Our POHA House locations are usually located in the heart of the city, making life easier for residents. Our houses are close to everything you need: shops, restaurants, public transport, and more. You’ll never be far from the buzz of the city, with easy access to all its attractions. Plus, there are supermarkets nearby for your grocery needs. Whether you’re craving international flavors or local delights, you’ll find plenty of dining options just around the corner.

Can I join any events?

Definitely! We regularly organize variety of events ranging from yoga classes to live music sessions in our POHA Houses accross the city, and you’re more than welcome to join us and immerse yourself in the POHA experience.

What additional services can I book?

There are services you can book for a fee, such as cleaning service if you stay longer than one night, but it’s entirely up to you. You can also book a slot for the laundry room for an additional fee or use our coworking spaces in the POHA Office Theaterplatz.

Will my apartment be cleaned every day?

+

We are a bit different from the traditional hotel. There is no daily room cleaning but you can conveniently book a cleaning service for a fee if you’d like.

Do you offer breakfast?

+

Yes, we do! Our breakfast option is a vegetarian breakfast box created in collaboration with our local partner Leni liebt Breakfast. It’s delivered right to your doorstep between 8:30 and 9:00 AM, so you can enjoy it in the comfort of your apartment. The box includes a Kraftkornbrötchen from the local bakery Nobis, a croissant, Gouda from the butchery Rademacher, homemade marmalade, butter, tomatoes, cucumbers, seasonal fruits, a small Greek yogurt (10% fat), and granola muesli. The price is €14 (including VAT), and it needs to be booked either before your stay or at least two days in advance.

Do you offer parking facilities at POHA House Büchel?

We don’t offer our own parking facilities at POHA House. However, we are located very central and there are couple of underground garage options around the house. The closest parking sports around POHA House Büchel are:

Stay Terms

What is the minimum stay?

Minimum stay is 1 day, but the more you stay, the cheaper it gets. Price decreases by 33% percent if you stay one more day.

What are the stay rates?

+

Basically, the price per night decreases the longer your stay duration is. We have five types of rates ranging from ‘Extra Shortstay’ (1 night) to ‘Extra Longstay’ (up to 183 days).

How does check-in work?

+

Our check-in process is contactless. Upon confirmation of your booking, you will receive a unique code to access the keybox and collect your key at your convenience 24/7. Simply enter the code at the designated location to retrieve your keys and gain entry to your accommodation. If you have any questions or need assistance during the check-in process, our team is available to help via phone or email during working hours.

How does check-out work?

Check-out time is until 11 am. You just simply leave the key fob on the table and close the door behind you. Kindly, collect your trash and clean your dishes before check-out. (We charge a 30 EUR fee for this service.)

Can I bring my pet in the POHA Stays?

Even though we love pets so much, they are not allowed in our POHA Stays.

What is the cancellation policy?

+

Depends on if you have booked a flexible or a non-refundable rate.

Flexible Rate – Cancel until 3pm on the day before check-in.
Non-refundable Rate – Once you booked, you’re in. We don’t offer any refund at this rate, even if you cancel.
